Couple from Botswana weds in Kenya | Priyanka & Aditya

Priyanka and Aditya are from Botswana.  They choose to hold their destination wedding in Kenya. No wonder why when you see the magnificent white-sand beaches of the Indian Ocean. The Leisure Lodge Beach Resort was the perfect backdrop for the celebrations. I thoroughly enjoy covering indian weddings because there are so many things happening. The culture is so vibrant that many times I fee like I am shooting much more than a wedding. This time I discovered the Vridham, a Brahmin ritual, where the groom receives his second string to symbolize his new status as a married man. Very interesting (photo #1 and #4)!! The rest of the week was just a blast to photograph. We especially enjoyed our portrait session on a dhow, the traditional sailing vessel you can fnd in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Priyanka and Aditya, thank you for everything. You both had a huge smile on your faces the entire week!! We wish you all the best!
